Lenovo Windows 7 Pro 64 bit SP1 with AMD A6-5400B APU processor and 4 GB memory. This is a brand new system for a client that requires DOS for their software to operate until they can upgrade to something else.
Working on this for 2 days now with no progress. Two of us have done the steps athttp://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx with no success. Downloaded XP Mode, installed it. Downloaded Virtual PC and got the message" This update is not applicable to your computer". Rebooted several times as we go.The Virtual PC option on the start menu is empty. I have chased it, ran options to test this and that with no issues, BUT it won't load. I've checked compatibility of the processor to support Virtual PC and it's approved. Followed trails through several posts and come up dry. Let's see what I can find here.
