How to create a parallel port with windows 7 (64 bit) laptop

Hi,

I recently purchased a new Dell laptop with Windows 7 (64 bit.) It has no parallel, serial or PCMCIA ports, just USB. I have a legacy CAD program that I have been using on my old XP laptop. It requires the use of a security key (dongle) attached to a parallel port. I tried using a USB to 25 pin parallel adapter cable, and that did not work. I’m wondering if using a USB to PCMCIA card adapter, and then attatch a PCMCIA to DB-25 Parallel Adapter would create a valid parallel port?  If not, is there docking station compatible with windows 7, that has a parallel port emulator?  Any other simple ideas (i am not a programmer)?  Please advise. Thanks, Mike
