Need to ensure DEP & XD are turned off

Hi,

I am trying to install ArcGIS 8 on a Virtual PC XP Mode but it fails trying to register certain DLL's.

Having googled the problem (http://support.esri.com/en/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/28065), I need to ensure that DEP and XD (Intel Execution Disabling Bit) are turned off.

Can anyone help me find a way to do this within XP Mode.
