I have had to renistall Widows 7 Pro on a computer that is on a home network. There are two printers on this network. One is physically connected to another computer, and the second is wireless. I have this new Win 7 install set up to print to the wireless printer with no problems.
My problem is in XP mode. The wireless printer on the network does not show up in the list of printers when I try to add it. I have read several threads here relating to similar problems, and after changing the XP Mode Networking settings from shared (NAT) to the controller name, I was able to configure the printer that is physically connected to the second computer in XP Mode, but I still cannot configure the wireless printer. When I browse for a printer, it shows the network structure, including this computer, but unlike the second computer, it shows no printers on this computer. Neither does it show the wireless computer as a separate device.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. FWIW, I could print from XP mode before I had to reinstall the OS.
Thanks.
