My Virtual PC 2007 Operating System drives (I have several) have recently failed to show the host drives selected under settings/integration features although these had been working for at least a couple years previously. Linking usb devices still appears to work. I am still asked to login when enabling integration services which appears to go through OK and gives no error messages. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing integration services on a virtual OS and deleting the .vmc and its backup file to force recreation of these as suggested elsewhere but to no avail. I have tried using both manual and auto enabling of integration services and the required host drives are ticked.
Not sure if its related to the issure but I have recently installed and enabled a Wi Fi network card and associated driver software a long side my existing cable network card. The Wi Fi card is setup to act as an Access Point for my mobile and laptop and appears to work OK. Also have recently updated the driver for my MS cordless (i.e infra red) mouse and installed security patch for my 64bit Windows 7 SP1 PC through Windows Update. The mouse works OK on both the host and VPC systems.
When on an XP VPC system and looking under 'my network places' in explorer it still shows the old D: drive mapping ( \ \ tsclient \ D ) but clicking on displays 'Attempt to access invalid address' and displays a message suggesting an access permissions problem.
Can anyone suggest a way to get access to my host drives back again please?
